With (w)aardewerk, Crafts Council Nederland draws attention to urgent issues surrounding the extraction of raw materials and the production of ceramics. The material for ceramics comes directly from the earth, but due to pollution, drought, excavations, loss of biodiversity, firing processes and cheap mass production, ceramics today are far from sustainable.
