This award is an initiative of Crafts Council Nederland and aims to give makers more visibility while emphasizing the importance and value of craftsmanship in contemporary design practice.
In 2024, the Crafts Award was presented to a participant of the Community of Practice of (w)aardewerk, an initiative focused on sustainable solutions for ceramic production and application. The award was presented on Sunday, October 20 at De Fabriek Eindhoven.
The winner of the first edition is Yoon Seok-hyeon, who showcased his work alongside other makers during Dutch Design Week.
