The exhibition was on view from May 22 to June 16, 2024, in the dome of Museum Arnhem as part of State of Fashion.
How can we sustainably and locally cultivate flax and linen to build a new linen chain? Since 2018, The Linen Project has been seeking answers to this question. The fashion industry focuses primarily on profit, leading to an increase in cheap, low-quality products often produced under poor working conditions. This has a significant impact on our environment. With The Linen Project, we explore how to produce flax and linen sustainably and how to make it locally and economically viable. We do this together based on the principle of ‘learning by doing.’
