Crafts Council Nederland, as a partner of Dutch Design Foundation, has long been spotlighting the craft sector. With the group exhibition HOW&WOW from October 19 to 27, 2019, at VEEM on Strijp-S, we showcased the significance of crafts.
From wood carving to polyurethane casting and from emerging makers to seasoned artisans, HOW&WOW presented all dimensions of making. Crafts Council Nederland serves as an overarching platform and expertise center that strengthens, innovates and broadens the creative craft both nationally and internationally. We work towards a revaluation of crafts and make them future-proof. This is achieved together with a large community of maker-designers, craft professionals, museums, workshops, businesses, the government and educational institutions.
