Craftsmap – Dutch Design Week 2015

Looking for the best craftsmen in the Netherlands? An expert who can execute products? A course where you can learn a craft? A workshop where you can get hands-on? A place to study traditional heritage crafts? Or information about contemporary crafts and inspiration? The Craftsmap is the online search engine for high-quality and surprising creative crafts from the Netherlands. During Dutch Design Week, the Craftsmap was presented to the public for the first time.

During Dutch Design Week, Crafts Council Nederland showcases the Craftsmap offline with the theme of glass. Glass appears in many forms, from traditional to contemporary and is currently being rediscovered by young designers. Crafts Council Nederland presents glass in all its facets and applications as well as museums, educational programs and craftsmen.

The exhibition features work by Bernard Heesen, Thomas Vailly & Laura Lynn Jansen, David Derksen, Sibylle Gielen, Hein Severijns and pieces from the collection of the National Glass Museum.
