Online Workshop: Introduction to Ukrainian Embroidery with Sarah Pedlow

Learn about Ukrainian embroidery and the fabled style of clothing from Borshchiv in the Western region of the country. Great for beginning counted thread work stitchers, you'll learn how to follow patterns and start stitching a simple floral motif which you can later repeat to decorate a traditional blouse or vyshyvanka. Instructor Sarah Pedlow will share her research, a visit to Lviv in 2017, and recent lessons with her teacher. The American Sarah Pedlow lives and works in Amsterdam where she research, teaches and stiches the embroiderytechniques of Europe.
