Handwerken Zonder Grenzen

Handwerken Zonder Grenzen (Crafts Without Borders) is a bimonthly magazine with articles on craft techniques where textile predominates. Tradition, folklore and history are key. Objects and practices of earlier times can be very interesting sources for creating new contemporary crafts.

HZG tries to vary as much as possible in the different techniques. Whether or not on the basis of a single historical object, an exhibition, something from the folklore or history, articles are written that address the following techniques: crochet, knitting, bobbin lace, needle lace, weaving on a loom, tape weaving, card weaving, patchwork, quilting, embroidery, silk painting, braiding, knotting, macrame, textile dyeing, felt and leatherwork, The magazine also features interviews with special crafts and textile artists.

The magazine aims to maintain and transfer the knowledge and skills of craft techniques from all times and from all over the world, but with a modern twist.
